VILLAGE OF BRUCE
2018 CAUCUS
Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, the 2018 Village of Bruce Caucus was held on Tuesday, January 2, 2018, at the Village Hall.
Village President Michael Newman called to order the Caucus at 6:30 p.m.
Newman called for nominations for two tellers to canvass votes for the Caucus. Motion by Gayanne Skogen to nominate Leah Newman as teller, seconded by Mark Zimmer. Motion by Mark Zimmer to nominate Bobbi Jo Fillion as teller, seconded by Shane Trott.
Chairperson Trott read the posting which included the following positions which terms expire April 17th, 2018. The Spring Election will be held on April 3, 2018.
Incumbent Mark Zimmer for Village Trustee
Incumbent Shane Trott for Village Trustee
Incumbent Gayanne Skogen for Village Trustee
Newman called for nominations from the floor for Village Trustees.
Motion by John Hoiby to nominate Alice Folgate for Village Trustee, seconded by Galen Brainerd.
Motion by Gayanne Skogen to nominate Mark Zimmer for Village Trustee, seconded by Darlene Wundrow.
Motion by Mark Zimmer to nominate Gayanne Skogen for Village Trustee, seconded by Bobbi Jo Fillion.
Motion by Darlene Wundrow to nominate Shane Trott for Village Trustee, seconded by Mark Zimmer.
Newman called twice for further nominations for Village Trustees. With none made, he called for a motion to close nominations. Motion by John Hoiby to close nominations for Village Trustees, seconded by Leah Newman.
Newman read the list of nominations for Village Trustees; Alice Folgate, Mark Zimmer, Gayanne Skogen & Shane Trott.
Newman called for a motion to adjourn. Motion by Mark Zimmer to adjourn the 2018 Village of Bruce Caucus, seconded by Gayanne Skogen.
The Caucus adjourned at 6:35 p.m.
