2021 BOARD OF REVIEW
September 30th, 2021
According to the public notice, Open Book for the 2021 Assessment Roll was held on Monday, August 30th, 2021 from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Village Hall, 100 W. River Avenue, Bruce, Wisconsin. Cindy Chase, Village Assessor, was available for questions.
Interim President Mark Zimmer called to order the 2021 Board of Review at 7:00 p.m. Thursday, September 30th, 2021. A roll call was taken and the following were present; Mark Zimmer, Jim Johnson, Galen Brainerd, Kim Grasley, Jessica Hayes and Assessor Cindy Chase. Shane Trott arrived to the meeting at 5:30 p.m.
Motion by Brainerd, seconded by Grasley to nominate Mark Zimmer to serve as chairperson, carried.
Motion by Grasley, seconded by Brainerd to nominate Jim Johnson to serve as Vice—Chairperson, carried.
Zimmer noted that mandated training requirements for certification were fulfilled by Shane Trott, Kim Grasley and Jim Johnson. Galen Brainerd, Mark Zimmer and Jessica Hayes completed the training in 2020. The Clerk has posted the notice of Open Book and Board of Review in the newspaper, three public places and on the Village’s website.
Zimmer stated the Assessment Roll was examined by the Clerk and found to be correct. The Notices of Assessment for property values that were changed were mailed out to property owners on August 16th, 2021 by Cindy Chase.
Assessor Cindy Chase signed the affidavit in the Assessment Roll and the Clerk witnessed the signature. No objections or requests for an appointment at the Board of Review have been received at this time.
With no appearances during the required two hour time limit, Zimmer called for a motion to close the 2021 Board of Review.
Motion by Johnson, seconded by Trott to close the 2021 Board of Review, carried. The meeting adjourned at 7:02 p.m.
