VILLAGE OF BRUCE 2022 CAUCUS

Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, the 2022 Village of Bruce Caucus was held on Wednesday,

January 5, 2022, at 6:00 p.m. at the Village Hall, 100 W. River Avenue, Bruce, Wisconsin.

Village President Shane Trott called to order the Caucus at 6:00 p.m. A sign in sheet was circulated. The first order of business was to elect a Chairperson to run the Caucus. Trott called for nominations for Chairperson.

First order of business was to call for a method on a tie breaker. Motion by Mark Shelton, seconded by Mark Zimmer to draw a lot first and then conduct a second vote.

Motion by Mark Zimmer, seconded by Mark Shelton to appoint Shane Trott as Chairperson.  Trott called twice for any other nominations for Chairperson. Shane Trott was unanimously appointed as Chairperson to run the Caucus.

Chairperson Trott called for nominations for two tellers to canvass votes for the Caucus.  Motion by Mark Zimmer to nominate Jim Johnson as teller, seconded by Mark Shelton.  Motion by Jim Johnson to nominate Mark Shelton as teller, seconded by Brad Wester.

The following positions which terms expire April 19, 2022 are listed.  The Spring Election will be held on April 5, 2022.

                        Incumbent Mark Zimmer for Village Trustee

                        Incumbent Kim Grasley for Village Trustee

                        Vacant Position for Village Trustee

Trott called for nominations for Village Trustees.

Motion by Mark Shelton to nominate Brad Wester for Village Trustee, seconded by Barry Frisinger. 

Motion by Jim Johnson to nominate Mark Zimmer for Village Trustee, seconded by Mark Shelton.
Motion by Michelle Mason to nominate Kim Grasley for Village Trustee, seconded by Mark Zimmer.
Motion by Mark Zimmer to nominate Darlene Wundrow for Village Trustee, seconded by Jim Johnson.
Motion by Gary Storey to nominate Barry Frisinger for Village Trustee, seconded by Brad Wester.

Chairperson Trott called twice for further nominations for Village Trustees.  With none made, he called for a motion to close nominations.  Motion by Mark Shelton to close nominations for Village Trustees, seconded by Michelle Mason.

Chairperson Trott called for a motion to adjourn.  Motion by Mark Zimmer to adjourn the 2022 Village of Bruce Caucus, seconded by Gary Storey.

The Caucus adjourned at 6:15 p.m.
