Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a scheduled Special meeting of the Village Board was held on Tuesday, December 15th, 2020.

Village President Shane Trott presided and called to order the meeting at the Village Hall facility at 7:00 p.m. Board members present were Galen Brainerd, Rob Grabon, Avery Newman, Kim Grasley and Mark Zimmer. Clerk Jessica Hegeholz was absent but the meeting was recorded for minute purposes.

Agenda: Discussion and Action on Drinking Water Warning Issued

Well #3 Offline:
Discussion was held on the affects of shutting well #3 down. This is the well that services the Fire Department. Board discussed giving the Fire Department a key to have access to turn the well back online if needed in the case of a fire. Motion by Grabon, seconded by Brainerd to approve shutting well #3 down, carried.
Emergency One Call System: Discussion was held on where the funding would come from to cover the expense of adding a one call system. There are no quotes at this time on how much the system would cost. Motion by Newman, seconded by Zimmer to table the “Emergency One Call System’ issue until the January, 2021 Regular Monthly Board Meeting, carried.
Installation of Filtration System at Village Hall: Discussion was held on having a filtration system installed in the Village Hall for residents to fill water jugs. Culligan would be the company installing the system at a cost an initial payment of $1065.00 and $70.00 a month for the service. Motion by Zimmer, seconded by Grabon to approve hiring Culligan to install the water filtration system at the Village Hall, carried.
Hiring of Individual for Water Distribution: Motion by Grabon, seconded by Brainerd to have volunteers be available after office hours on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3-7 p.m. and Saturdays from 8 to noon to distribute water to Village residents, carried.  
Approval of Water Testing Meter: Motion by Zimmer, seconded by Brainerd to approve paying $550.00 plus shipping and handling for water meter testing, carried.
Announcement/Advertisement on School Marquee & Local Channels: Motion by Grabon, seconded by Grasley to approve advertising on the Bruce School marquee and also the local channels, carried.
Well Testing Approval: Motion by Brainerd, seconded by Newman to approve having Morgan & Parmley, Ltd. test both wells #1 & #3 at a cost of $5,000, carried.
