VILLAGE OF BRUCE
2024 CAUCUS
Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, the 2024 Village of Bruce Caucus was held on Monday,
January 8th, 2024, at 6:30 p.m. at the Village Hall, 100 W. River Avenue, Bruce, Wisconsin.
Village President Shane Trott called to order the Caucus at 6:30 p.m. A sign in sheet was circulated.
First order of business was to call for a method on a tie breaker. Motion by Galen Brainerd, seconded by Kim Grasley to conduct a coin toss, carried.
Trott called for nominations for Chairperson.
Motion by Mark Zimmer, seconded by Tim Dolan to appoint Shane Trott as Chairperson. Trott called twice for any other nominations for Chairperson. Shane Trott was unanimously appointed as Chairperson to run the Caucus.
Chairperson Trott called for nominations for two tellers to canvass votes for the Caucus. Motion by Kim Grasley to nominate Galen Brainerd as teller, seconded by Wundrow. Motion by Grasley to nominate Tim Dolan as teller, seconded by Jim Johnson.
The following positions which terms expire April 16th, 2024 are listed. The Spring Election will be held on April 2nd, 2024
Incumbent Kimberly Grasley for Village Trustee
Incumbent Mark A. Zimmer for Village Trustee
Incumbent Darlene Wundrow for Village Trustee
Trott called for nominations for Village Trustees.
Motion by Jim Johnson to nominate Mark Zimmer for Village Trustee, seconded by Kim Grasley.
Motion by Mark Zimmer to nominate Darlene Wundrow for Village Trustee, seconded by Grasley.
Motion by Darlene Wundrow to nominate Kim Grasley for Village Trustee, seconded by Mark Zimmer.
Chairperson Trott called twice for further nominations for Village Trustees.
With none made, he called for a motion to close nominations for Village Trustees. Motion by Brainerd, seconded by Johnson to close nominations for Village Trustees.
Teller Brainerd read the nominations aloud. ‘Kim Grasley, Mark Zimmer and Darlene Wundrow for Trustees’.
Chairperson Trott called for a motion to adjourn. Motion by Johnson to adjourn the 2024 Village of Bruce Caucus, seconded by Zimmer.
The Caucus adjourned at 6:35 p.m.
