Water & Sewer Service – Meters are read and billed by the Bruce Village Hall. (Billed every 3 months; the 1^st of January, April, July and October).  A late payment charge of 1% per month will be added to bills not paid within twenty one days of issuance.

Garbage & Recycling – Services are required for residents residing in the Village limits. The Village Hall takes care of billing; it will appear on utility bill and is billed quarterly at the rate of $59.80 (95 gallon containers only offered) (Billed the 1^st of January, April, July and October). 

Garbage Pick-Up – is every Tuesday-Have container set out Monday night on the street side. Pick-up for recycling is every other Tuesday.  Place recycling container next to your garbage for collection.

Licensing of Dogs – is required. Current proof of rabies vaccination is required at the time of licensing.  You can obtain a license at the Village Hall in the month of January.  After that date, a license may be obtained through the Rusk County Clerk’s office located at the Courthouse in Ladysmith. Pit bulls, or any dog resembling the characteristics of a Pit Bull are not permitted in the Village limits. 

Building Permits – are required for any improvements, additions or remodeling projects over $1,000.00. Permits may be obtained at the Village Hall.

Burning Permits – are sold at the Village Hall for $10.00.  Burning of clean wood and yard waste on weeknights and Saturdays after 5:00 p.m. is permitted.  No Sunday or Holiday burning.  The Bruce Fire Chief is notified of permits that are sold.  No permit is required if there is sufficient snow cover on the ground.
