VILLAGE OF BRUCE
2026 CAUCUS
Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, the 2026 Village of Bruce Caucus was held on Monday,
January 5th, 2026, at 5:00 p.m. at the Village Hall, 100 W. River Avenue, Bruce, Wisconsin.
Village President Shane Trott called to order the Caucus at 5:00 p.m. A sign in sheet was circulated.
First order of business was to call for a method on a tie breaker. Motion by Jim Johnson, seconded by Darlene Wundrow to conduct a ballot vote.
Trott called for nominations for Chairperson.
Motion by Galen Brainerd, seconded by Kim Grasley to appoint Shane Trott as Chairperson. Trott called twice for any other nominations for Chairperson. Shane Trott was unanimously appointed as Chairperson to run the Caucus.
Chairperson Trott called for nominations for two tellers to canvass votes for the Caucus. Motion by Jim Johsnon to nominate Darlene Wundrow as teller, seconded by Brainerd. Motion by Johnson to nominate McGee Brainerd as teller, seconded by Kim Grasley.
The following positions which terms expire April 21ST, 2026 are listed. The Spring Election will be held on April 7TH, 2026.
Incumbent Darlene Wundrow for Village Trustee
Incumbent Mark Zimmer for Village Trustee
Incumbent Kim Grasley for Village Trustee
Trott called for nominations for Village Trustees.
Motion by Grasley to nominate Mark Zimmer for Village Trustee, seconded by Wundrow.
Motion by Tim Dolan to nominate Kim Grasley for Village Trustee, seconded by Jim Johnson.
Motion by Johnson to nominate Darlene Wundrow for Village Trustee, seconded by Dolan
Motion by Brainerd to nominate John Hoiby Sr. for Village Trustee, seconded by Jeanne Nelson..
Chairperson Trott called twice for further nominations for Village Trustees.
With none made, he called for a motion to close nominations for Village Trustees. Motion by Brainerd to close nominations for Village Trustees, seconded by Johnson.
Chairperson Trott read all nominations aloud.
Mark Zimmer, Darlene Wundrow, Kim Grasley and John Hoiby Sr. for Trustees.
Chairperson Trott called for a motion to adjourn. Motion by Brainerd to adjourn the 2026 Village of Bruce Caucus, seconded by Grasley.
The Caucus adjourned at 5:30 p.m.
