2026 BOARD OF REVIEW
May 20th, 2026
According to the public notice, Open Book for the 2026 Assessment Roll was held on Wednesday, May 13th, 2026 from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the American Legion Hall, 804 N. Main Street, Bruce, Wisconsin. Cindy Chase, Village Assessor, was available for questions.
Village President Shane Trott called to order the 2026 Board of Review at 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 20th, 2026 at the American Legion, 804 N. Main Street. A roll call was taken and the following were present; Galen Brainerd, Clerk/Treasurer Jessica Hayes and Assessor Cindy Chase.
Motion by Brainerd, seconded by Hayes to nominate Shane Trott to serve as chairperson, carried.
Motion by Trott, seconded by Brainerd to nominate Jessica Hayes to serve as Clerk, carried.
Trott noted that mandated training requirements for certification were fulfilled by Jim Johnson, Jessica Hayes & John Hoiby. The Clerk has posted the notice of Open Book and Board of Review in the newspaper, three public places and on the Village’s website.
Trott stated the Assessment Roll was examined by the Clerk and found to be correct. The Notices of Assessment for property values that were changed were mailed out to property owners on April 3rd, 2026 by Cindy Chase.
The assessor has recorded all changes made at the Open Book.
The assessor has signed the affidavit in the Assessment Roll and the Clerk witnessed the signature. No objections or requests for an appointment at the Board of Review have been received at this time.
With no appearances during the required two-hour time limit, motion by Brainerd, seconded by Hayes to close the 2026 Board of Review, carried. The meeting adjourned at 5:00 p.m.
