Please be informed that Building permits are required in the Village of Bruce for a variety of cases.

The bottom line is this: If you are making major repairs or additions to your residential property, and your project is estimated to cost at least $1,000, you are REQUIRED to get a building permit. (Examples may include such things as adding a garage, a deck, an addition to your house, a re-roofing project, or significant interior improvements.)

Please contact the Village Hall at 715-868-2185 if you have any doubt. If you have already begun, or have even finished your project, you still need to fill out a permit, as you are still in violation of the ordinance until you comply.
