PUBLIC HEARING MINUTES
Discontinuance of a Public Way
September 8th, 2025
Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a scheduled Public Hearing was held on Monday, September 8th, 2025.
Village President Shane Trott presided and called to order the meeting at the Village Hall facility at 5:00 p.m. Board members present were Jim Johnson, Mark Zimmer, Darlene Wundrow, Tim Dolan and Galen Brainerd. Clerk/Treasurer Jessica Hayes and Deputy Nicole Frisinger attended also. Kim Grasley was absent.
A sign in sheet was circulated and all attendees of the meeting signed.
Brief Description: Consider Village of Bruce Resolution 25-02, a resolution to discontinue a selected public way originally laid in Blackburn’s Addition to the Plat of the Village of Bruce, described as follows:
The entirety of First Street of Blackburn’s Addition to the Plat of the Village of Bruce recorded as Document #350981 lying west of Lots 13 through 24 of Block 1 of Blackburn’s Addition to the Plat of the Village of Bruce all in Section 5 in Township 34N, Range 7W, Village of Bruce, Rusk County, Wisconsin.
The discontinuance of the above-described public way will not result in a landlocked property and no owner of property abutting the discontinued public ways will be damaged by the discontinuance. The discontinued public way will be vacated and the land awarded to the following owners of real estate abutting the discontinued ways:
(i) Steven C. Berglund
(ii) Jason Wester
(iii) Christopher M. Holt

Adjournment: Motion by Johnson, seconded by Wundrow to adjourn, carried. The meeting adjourned at 5:30 p.m.
