NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING for Special Assessments

PLEASE TAKE NOTICE, that the Bruce Village Board hereby declares its intention to exercise its police power under Wis. Stat. § 66.0701, Wis. Stat. § 66.0703, and Title 3, Chapter 2 of the Village of Bruce Ordinances, to levy special assessments upon property within the assessment district hereinafter described for benefits conferred upon such properties by reason of the following public work and improvements:

The Water Filtration Project, Water Treatment Plant, which entails a new transmission main connecting Well #3 to the water treatment plant at Well #1, street reconstruction, curb, gutter, sidewalk, sanitary sewer, storm sewer, water main, and connections.

Sewer Line Replacement Project on East Arthur Avenue (within easements)

Copies and exhibits of the Determination of Assessment Rate, Project Plans & Specifications, Final Construction Cost, Schedule of Assessments and Payment of Special Assessments are on file in the Clerk’s office and may be inspected there Monday through Friday between 8:30 a.m. and 3:00 p.m.

You are further notified that Board members will hear all interested persons, or their agents, or their attorneys, concerning matters contained in the preliminary resolution authorizing the assessments at 6:30 p.m. on October 2nd, 2023 in the Village Hall facility located at 100 W. River Avenue. All input will be considered at this hearing and thereafter the amount of the assessments will be finally determined.
